I have been concerned and involved in environmental issues for years but have recently become re-energized as I feel it is more urgent than ever that we work to reduce our carbon footprint and mitigate the effects of our planet’s climate crisis. I believe that in Ottawa, buildings, transportation and living green space are excellent places to start and that City Hall has a critical role to play. Our future depends on us.
Mathis is an 18 year old student from Ottawa who is a member of the council watch team and will be studying political science and law.
Lisa has lived in Ottawa her whole life and has moved from east to west over the years, now residing happily in Stittsville with her husband and young son. She has been working in the energy and climate change space for 15 years and is keen to be well informed on how members of Ottawa City Council contribute to positive and lasting change for our communities.
