Ecology Ottawa Announces Interim Leadership Team

Ecology Ottawa would like to acknowledge the contributions of Josh Snider over the past 3 months, and announce that Meredith Brown, former Executive Director of Ottawa Riverkeeper, will be stepping into the role of Strategic Advisor while the Board of Directors undergoes a recruitment process for our next leader.

Meredith’s leadership experience, knowledge of the sector and experience building impactful teams and strategies are ideal for Ecology Ottawa during this transition. In addition, we are excited to be working with Krystyn Tully, another seasoned leader, to help us strengthen the operations of our organization and increase our capacity to engage and mobilize our community. Krystyn is the CEO of Entremission, a social enterprise serving the next generation of social and environmental changemakers. “At this time in history, when we need all hands on deck to fight climate change and biodiversity loss, I believe it is critical to have a strong, local, grassroots organization that can help mobilize the population of Ottawa and push our leaders to do more. That is why I agreed to help Ecology Ottawa. Motivated, inspired and thoughtful people bring me hope.” – Meredith Brown

Ecology Ottawa is grateful for all of the people, past and present, who make our work possible. We would especially like to acknowledge Velta Tomsons, a very experienced organizer on the Ecology Ottawa team, who has recently stepped up to take on a leadership role as our Director of Programs.

We are excited about the next phase in the organization’s evolution.

Please help us find our next Executive Director and share this opportunity to lead Ecology Ottawa with your network. The job posting can be found here.
