Pratigga was raised in Southern Ontario, in the occupied ancestral lands of the Attawandaron/Chonnonton, the Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples and the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. She has a background in policy research working with several provincial and international NGO’s. She has worked on research projects investigating ecological conservation, displacement as a result of natural disaster, the anti-abortion movement, and municipal prayer. Her passion lies in cultivating community and mobilizing people towards achieving social and environmental justice. As an undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa, she co-founded the Ontario Student Action Network (OSAN) - an organization that aims to mobilize students across Ontario to protect and advance student rights.
In her free time, Pratigga enjoys long walks in the city’s beautiful green spaces and baking for her friends. She is so excited to work towards creating a green and equitable Ottawa alongside passionate volunteers and community members!
