Doug Michaelides is an accomplished board director and business leader with extensive experience guiding organizations through innovation, growth and transition. He is former Board Chair of EnviroCentre and former Vice-Chair of Centre for Social Enterprise Development, and founder of the Ottawa-based management consulting firm Platform Marketing. As an advisor to for-profit and non-profit organizations, he draws upon decades of senior management and marketing experience in the technology sector. A passionate advocate for environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and good governance, he has taught at Toronto Metropolitan University and Algonquin College. He holds an MBA from York University, a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and completed the Innovation Governance Program for board directors. Doug gets around Ottawa mainly on foot, bike and transit and finds peace outdoors, cycling gravel roads and paddling quiet lakes.
