Katie is a long-time Ecology Ottawa volunteer and supporter. For more than two decades, she has been championing bold climate action. After completing her Ph.D. at the University of Ottawa in Conservation Biology, Katie co-founded Evidence for Democracy, Canada's leading national not-for-profit organization promoting science and the transparent use of evidence in government decision-making. Katie has played a leadership role in many national and local organizations, including being President of a local environmentally focused housing co-op and serving on the Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Open Government.
Katie has been involved in provincial and federal politics. She lives in Centretown with her young family
and is happiest on her bike or foraging for urban fruit.
