Meera Manghani || Living City Program Coordinator

Living City Program Coordinator

Having studied the effects of soil contamination on plant gene expression and stress marker responses, Meera believes in the immediacy to protect and steward our living systems for a just and sustainable future! Since then, Meera has creatively acquired horticulture experience by working in garden centers, the cannabis industry, and founding her own organic market garden and landscaping business. Community engagement and education is at the forefront of her work; she teaches Plant Science at Algonquin College, creates and runs numerous educational programs for the Renfrew Public Library, and is now a living city program coordinator with Ecology Ottawa! Specializing in project management and creative solutions, she strives to create change and spread enthusiasm to all around her!
