Nasrat Mateen is the Climate Change Organizer at Ecology Ottawa. He is passionate about advancing equitable climate solutions, engaging communities, and connecting global environmental challenges with local action. His background in environmental science, climate change, and international development has taken him across Afghanistan, Europe, and Canada, where he has worked on initiatives related to climate resilience, environmental education, climate advocacy, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. Outside of work, Nasrat enjoys spending time in nature, photography, traveling, and exploring new cultures, languages, and ideas.
