Ecology Ottawa will be offering free tree saplings at the 2026 Grand Reopening of the Orleans Farmers Market, on Thursday June 4th between 11am-4pm. We will be located at the markets community booth.
Our tree giveaways are a program that helps the community address a diversity of important environmental issues, including mitigating climate change, rebuilding our tree canopy, providing habitat for wildlife, creating shade for residents, and improving air, soil, and water quality in the city. The seedlings distributed through this program are for individuals to plant on private property.
