Yes. I was a renter all through university and it was older buildings I sought out as that was what I could afford in the downtown core and glebe. I understand this and feel a change needs to occur in many and there has to be owner funding available to assist and cant be pushed to tenants who in many cases already have enough and cant add more to their responsibilities. I understand if that happens than more will be using the foodbank and making serious cuts in other essential needs.
