Q2 - Will you commit to no more extensions of the urban boundary, and support building more 15-minute neighborhoods throughout the City of Ottawa, not just in the urban core?

The City's Official Plan has established an urban boundary that provides space for the anticipated future growth of the city, while entrenching policy needed to guide development. We have seen past examples of the negative impact on residents when neighbourhoods are built without access to infrastructure, amenities, and services within walking, cycling, or short distances. During the OP discussions, I brought forward a direction to City staff that enshrined 15-minute communities across the city. I will continue to support policies that promote walkable, livable, high quality-of-life communities.
