Q9 - Will you prioritize the conservation of existing greenspace, as well as biodiversity on both city and privately owned lands by amending the property standards by-law, as well as increasing targets for and allocating more funds towards naturalization?

Laura Dudas

Last spring, I brought forward a motion that will see City policies change to enable residents and community groups to naturalize City right-of-ways in order to increase biodiversity, encourage pollinators, and decrease the City's reliance on mowing. I have also worked in partnership with local residents to reducing mowing of milkweed growth areas.
