This year’s Eco Gala annual dinner will blend song and science with our celebration.

The talented and dedicated Sarah Harmer will bring her Juno Award winning music to the Eco Gala dinner. Also headlining the evening as our keynote speaker is self-declared renegade scientist Diana Beresford-Kroeger author of the forthcoming book The Sweetness of a Simple Life published by Random House Canada.

It’s not all glitz and gravitas on October 9. We’ve got reason to rejoice. Ecology Ottawa has achieved more in the past year than ever before and more people than ever are standing behind our efforts. You’ve probably helped. Now is the time to come together and celebrate, see some of the faces you’ve missed for a while, and mingle with others who are making such a difference. It is a great opportunity to socialize with friends and colleagues as well as network with other members of the broader environmental community.

And the food! This year Chef Michael Blackie of NEXT Food will be preparing a mouth-watering menu for us to enjoy. Four courses with descriptions you’ll find enticing even without the addition of friends and fanfare. See the full description of the event, menu, bios, etc. here.

Wednesday, October 9, 2013 St. Elias Banquet Centre, 750 Ridgewood Ave.

  • 5:30 p.m. Doors open; socializing and silent auction
