The Carp Hills in West Carleton-March ward is home to some of the oldest and largest trees in the City of Ottawa. Recently, local conservation group Friends of the Huntley Highlands held a contest to find the Carp Hills Biggest Tree. The contest aimed to encourage residents and landowners to take a closer look at the nature around them and appreciate one of the largest environmentally significant areas in the National Capital.
