Election work with Ecology Ottawa

The 2015 federal election is right around the corner. We know that federal action on climate change, light rail, the Ottawa River and stopping the Energy East tar sands pipeline would go a long way to making Ottawa a more sustainable city. That's why Ecology Ottawa sees this election as a unique opportunity to promote environmental leadership in the city.

Our election efforts are focused on phone and direct contact with the residents of Ottawa. Currently, our phone team meets four times per week - Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and from 5:00pm to 7:30pm. Beginning in April, we will also kick off our ground canvass program, where we go door to door and talk to people about the environmental issues that matter to them.

We are looking for volunteers to join our phone and direct outreach teams. If you'd like to get involved, please contact Robb Barnes at [email protected].
