The City is considering making improvements to Byron Avenue (Sherbourne Road to Island Park Drive), and would like your feedback. Please complete the online questionnaire before May 25 to give the City your input. Your comments could play an important role in the decisions being made - Tell the City how Byron Avenue can improve its cycling and pedestrian safety, as well as its current speeding issues.
The questionnaire has general questions regarding traffic calming measures and biking infrastructure, as well as specific questions regarding Byron Avenue. At the end of the questionnaire, you can see statistics of the results. Now is the time to tell the City how Byron Avenue can become safer to all travelers!
A public meeting will be held in June 2016 to go through the results of the questionnaire and discuss design options.

Members of ECCC invited to webinar on incineration
On April 8, we invited members of City Council’s Environment and Climate Change Committee (ECCC) to attend a webinar on incineration. This webinar is timely: Council is considering incineration as an option for dealing with Ottawa’s waste, since staff has warned Council that the Trail Road Landfill—which currently receives the majority of Ottawans’ garbage—will fill up soon.
