Catherine McKenna's Climate Consultation

On April 28 MP for Ottawa Centre and Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna hosted a climate change consultation for her constituents which was attended by well over 200 people.

The crowd offered many constructive ideas on how to tackle climate change and there was applause every time a speaker mentioned the need to restrain pipeline expansion.

This is planned to be the first of many citizen consultations to be held by various MPs across Ottawa and across Canada. The effort comes in parallel with a new government website inviting Canadians to submit and discuss climate change solutions. That website can be seen at http://canada.ca/climateaction
