The sky is blue, the sun is shining, the world is glowing with life. What better way to spend your day than by planting trees?
On June 11th, Tree Ottawa is teaming up with the Covent Glen / Orleans Wood community association and the City of Ottawa to plant trees in Beauclaire Park. We have 800 trees (eight hundred!!!) trees that need to be planted, which means we're going to at least 100 volunteers. And that includes YOU!
A family-fun event, planting trees really lets you get your hands in the dirt to make a noticeable and lasting difference. It's a wonderful way for us to come together as a community to help green and tree-up local parks!
Date: June 11th, 2016
Time: 9:00am-finish
Location: Beauclaire Park (click here for map)
We'll be meeting at 9am to get everyone set up with a tree to plant. Just look for the sign-in tables, and our team will direct you. We will also be providing food and other snacks to help kick-start our day. Don't forget a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray!
Spread the word and come on out for this fantastic event! These 800 tress are going to need all the help they can get to find their way into their new homes, and we definitely can't do it alone!
