Volunteers Needed: DragonBoat Festival Green Team

Ottawa's DragonBoat Festival is two and a half weeks away, which means we need to start prepping the DragonBoat Festival's renown Green Team!

Volunteer opportunity: Green Team at Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival

Ecology Ottawa is leading the Green Team at the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival from June 23-26. Join us and help keep this exciting festival clean, volunteer with us.

Volunteers working in this area will help keep the Festival clean and administer the recycling/composting program. Keeping the site free of litter, sorting recyclables and emptying the recycling bins will be among the duties of this area.

We are very pleased to offer recycling and composting on our site again this year. This is a great position for those who are environmentally conscience and want to help our Festival stay green!

Responsibilities of the Site Maintenance - Green Team Volunteers

Keep the festival site clean
Collect litter, recycling, and compost and sort it accordingly into big bins
Be environmentally conscience

Responsibilities of the Hydration Team - Green Team Volunteers

Replenish water bottles and ice in designated areas including coolers at docks, parking, and other festival locations
