Over 50 organizations from across Canada, including Ecology Ottawa, call on PM Trudeau to shut down the review of the Energy East and the NEB process pending urgently needed reforms. In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister and Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr, these groups point out the inappropriate actions of two of the NEB review process board members having met with the ex-Premier and consultant of TransCanada, Jean Charest.
People and Organizations across Canada have been very vocal about their opposition to the Energy East and Kinder Morgan pipeline, however the current government has allowed the review processes to continue without addressing their core flaws. It is unreasonable to continue with the current system when its results are clearly skewed in favor of the oil and gas industry.
