Join Ecology Ottawa and Tree Fest Ottawa this Saturday, for the final day of Fall Tree Fest. The six-week festival culminates in a Day of Action, when we will be giving back to the green space that hosted us.
Start your morning by planting two dozen native trees, and stay for the workshops and exhibits that follow. Activities should appeal to those interested in nature, community, art, and food.
Fall Tree Fest, in its second year, aims to connect people to their environment through the celebration and appreciation of trees. Previous weeks explored themes such as Harvest, Ecology, and Health, while the ongoing photo exhibit has displayed the winning Community Photography Contest submissions and provided a narrative about the role and importance of trees.
Come spend a beautiful fall day in the park with us as we appreciate nature and trees.
WHEN: 10am-4pm Saturday, October 15. Come early for the 10am-11am tree planting session!
WHERE: Brewer Park, near Brewer Pond
