Earth Day Celebration - Party like your Earth depends on it!

Right after the Ottawa Park Summit, join Ecology Ottawa on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, 2017, for our first Earth Day Celebration at Makerspace North.

Let's face it, protecting the environment can be tough on the spirit, (with the looming mass extinction, corporate greed and impending catastrophic climate change, for instance). We should, therefore, take the opportunity every so often to celebrate our fabulous community and all the brilliant people in it doing Gaia's good work.

So join us on April 22nd for an Earth Day Celebration, where you can mingle with like-minded people, enjoy complimentary drinks from Ottawa’s favourite microbreweries (Beau's and Clocktower), snacks from great local eateries like the Green Rebel and Courtyard Restaurant, and door prizes from friendly local businesses. Comedian Martha Chaves will be our MC, and DJ Cat Abreu (also known as the Executive Director of Climate Action Network Canada) will be luring us onto the dance floor with her fine tunes.

What are you waiting for? Come party like your Earth depends on it!

The Earth Day Celebration will take place on Earth Day – Saturday, April 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m, at MAKERSPACE North (Bay 216, 250 City Centre Ave., Ottawa, ON K1R 6K7). Tickets are $25/person, which will include complimentary light snacks and an open bar with beer and wine.

Special thanks to our sponsor, Terra20, for supporting this event, and to Beau's Brewery, Clocktower Brewpub, Green Rebel, Courtyard Restaurant, for providing food and drinks.

Raffle prizes are donated by: Moksha Yoga Orleans, Maitland Massage Therapy, Life Without Plastic, Britannia Yacht Club, Smoke's Poutinerie, EcoParent Magazine, Lunapads, the Table, DivaCup, The Table Restaurant, Ottawa Organics, Rainbow Foods, the Works Westboro, and Terra20.
