Take Action on Climate Change in Ottawa

Climate change is scary, but taking action doesn’t have to be. It is often difficult to settle on real, tangible changes you can make in your own life to stop climate change. This is why Ecology Ottawa has launched a campaign to educate residents of Ottawa about the local actions they can take to fight climate change. There has never been a better time to ‘go green’ in Ottawa. There are a number of incentive programs available to help you save on energy and reduce your greenhouse gas emissions at the same time. Click on the links to learn more.

Do you worry about your heating and cooling bill? The Ontario Home Energy Conservation Incentive Program (OHECIP) offers rebates on smart thermostats and home retrofits. Don’t waste energy and money on unused heating and cooling! Thinking of buying a new car? Now is the perfect time to invest in an all-electric vehicle (EV) in Ontario. With a range of vehicles to chose from, the province offers a rebate of up to $14,000 for buying or leasing an EV. Passionate about cycling? The government of Ontario is committing up to $225 million in provincial funding for commuter cycling infrastructure. Be a part of the change, and sign our commuter cycling pledge!
