As spring is in the air, we are getting excited for one of the biggest Ecology Ottawa annual events, the Great Glebe GREEN Garage Sale. Help us organize a day of fun in the sun engaging the community in environmental issues by joining the Great Glebe GREEN Garage Sale Organizing Committee.
Entering its 11th year, the Great Glebe GREEN Garage Sale continues to animate the largest event in the Glebe. It is also the most successful single-day outreach in Ecology Ottawa’s history, building grassroots support from over 10,000 of Ottawa residents and raising over $80,000 for Ecology Ottawa to date. This year, the event will be on May 26th, 8am to 4pm, and we need your help to continue this success!
The Organizing Committee for the Great Glebe GREEN Garage Sale will take the lead on organizing the logistics in the lead up to the Garage sale and on the day of, managing over 100 volunteers, and coordinating communications, entertainment, food, and sponsorships/partnerships. The Organizing Committee meets once a week until the day of the event (meetings will take place from 6-8pm at the Ecology Ottawa office on April 24, May 2, May 7, May 16, and May 23), and will lead a launch event on May 8.
