On Monday, May 25, community groups and their supporters are hosting an important conversation about inequities, under-appreciated emergencies, and how the Official Plan can meaningfully address these urgent issues to help create a city for all.

Representatives of the Alliance to End Homelessness, City for All Women Initiative, Ecology Ottawa, Healthy Transportation Coalition, and Housing Managers Collective will host a panel discussion followed by a community conversation about what we should do when elected officials let us down.

With a majority of Ottawa City Council set to vote on an urban boundary expansion that will have negative social, financial, health, and environmental consequences, there is an urgent need for this conversation.

WHAT: Panel discussion on Housing, Homelessness, & Climate Emergencies

WHERE: On-line. RSVP here.

WHEN: 7pm to 8:30pm, on Monday, May 25th

The call will focus on five subjects: i) homelessness; ii) affordable housing; iii) equity; iv) transportation equity; v) environmental challenges, followed by small group discussions about what we should do when elected officials let us down, and it will end with a report back.
