“I never learned to ride a bike because my family could not afford one. That is a barrier we do not talk about enough. I will make sure the active transportation budget is fully spent, not raided for other priorities. I will prioritize connections to LRT stations, expand secure bike parking, and extend winter clearing so lanes work year round. A lane you cannot use six months of the year is not infrastructure. I will push for subsidized bikes and free bike education in schools so cost is not the reason someone is left out.”

"A big part of that will be making sure that new neighborhoods and developments in Ottawa are walkable and accessible. Ward 10 has a lot of vacant and undeveloped land that could be used to build homes and walkable communities, and help reduce the reliance on transit and commuting to other areas of the city as much.
Something I would want to do as councillor are well would be working towards the addition of bike lanes to sidewalk on sidewalk reconstruction and revitalisation (in areas where applicable) This will help to keep the cost down, reduce inconveniences brought on by construction, and create more of a separation between car traffic and bikes, helping to keep roads safer for everyone at the same time."
