“I will expand the three stream waste program across the city, including parks, and push for more repair and reuse options so things do not end up in landfill. I will also support a fix it library model and community tool sharing. These are low cost and high impact. On the circular economy, I will push for city procurement to prioritize reused and recycled materials, and work with local businesses to reduce packaging waste. We cannot recycle our way out of this. We need to waste less in the first place.”

“Something that I would support would be creating and expanding community gardens where applicable and where makes sense, as well as working to support local farmers more. This would allow residents to support local more and keep more money in the economy, have more control over their own food supply, as well as reduce carbon emissions from shipping, storage and packaging. Lastly these initiatives would help to reduce single use plastics, and reduce food costs for residents.”
