Promote glass containers, bulk stores, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and municipal tool/repair libraries to support a genuine circular economy. Support and strengthen access to toxic waste/hazardous waste pickups, by adding disposal bins near major hubs like transit stations, (see Lisbon) rather than forcing people to make special effort to dispose of these items safely.
Mandate green bins and organics diversion in multi-residential / apartment buildings (a big issue in Kitchissippi’s rental corridor along Scott and Richmond).”
