"I want to thank Ecology Ottawa, and all its members for your tireless advocacy and work to make Ottawa a more sustainable city for generations to come. We’ve accomplished a lot in the last term of Council to make our city greener and more resilient, but there’s much more we can do. With climate change bringing more frequent extreme weather events, we need to use every resource available to ensure our city is investing in parks, active transportation, public transit, and more sustainable infrastructure to ensure Ottawa remains a liveable city for everyone."
