"I'd be cautious about expanding the urban boundary. Every expansion adds pipes, roads and services the City must maintain forever, while its own asset plans already show a $10.8 billion ten-year renewal gap. Growth should go first where infrastructure capacity has been checked and published. "

"I am opposed to expanding the urban boundary while developers continue to stall construction of Buildings within the Greenbelt, and without measuring results against the current incentives for building laid out in the City’s Housing Acceleration Plan. I voted against Tewin and I voted against other attempts to expand the urban boundary in Orleans and Stittsville because I remain concerned that it’s a long term expense for the city to provide services at a distance that impacts taxpayers across the city."
