Ecology Ottawa, in cooperation with local leaders in Blackburn Hamlet, will be organizing a short clean-up of Green's Creek on September 21st and we hope you will join us!

Let us know you are coming by RSVPing here

This event will be the first step towards promoting a broader healthy watersheds and tree initiative within the Green’s Creek watershed and Blackburn Hamlet area.

Rain or shine, we will meet in the parking lot by the toboggan hill at 10am on the morning of Saturday, September 21st. We'll spend about an hour-and-a-half cleaning-up around Green's Creek and then we'll have a short discussion about working together on an evolving "Blackburn Tree Initiative" to take better care of existing trees and plant more trees. Light snacks and refreshments will be served during the discussion.

If you are interested but not able to attend, or if you just want to find out more, please contact Graham Saul at [email protected]

We would very much appreciate your help getting the word out about this event and ongoing initiative, so please consider inviting friends, family and co-workers as well as sharing via email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

In case you are not familiar with Green's Creek, the "parking lot near the toboggan hill" is just off Bearbrook Road about 200 feet south of the intersection with St. Joseph Boulevard. See OCTranspo Stop ID: 8982 if you are coming by public transit. See the blue pin on the google map on this page for a better sense of where it is.

Thanks very much,
