Orlando Park is a beautiful piece of green in the south end of the City. However, trees have been lost and soccer fields bake in the summer sun. A plan to naturalize a piece of this park and plant shade trees around the fields has taken root.

Fall 2013, 100 trees were planted; this past spring 50 were planted; and October 18th, 2014 another 200 will add to this piece of wildlife corridor.

Join Ecology Ottawa and the Alta Vista Community Network Team at 9am at the Heron Road end of Orlando Park in Alta Vista. All are welcome!!

Saturday, October 8th, 2014 9:00 am to noon Orlando Park (the park entrance near 1405 Heron Road) in Alta Vista.
