On February 24th, residents of the General Burns neighbourhood came together to learn more about plans to plant new trees in General Burns Park in the autumn of 2015.
A few months ago, community association board member Margaret Sambol reached out to Tree Ottawa after having read about the initiative. She invited a few members of the Tree Ottawa team to come visit the park, and discuss how to involve the community in the tree-planting process to best meet residents needs. The meeting served as an opportunity for residents to learn about the plans, ask questions, and offer feedback.
