In celebration of Earth Day 2023, we at Ecology Ottawa are highlighting the people, places, plants, and animals of Ottawa that inspire our communities to take action, find innovative solutions, and work together to protect our environment. We call on you to nominate members of your community that work hard and inspire others to create change!
Our organization believes that environmental action is for everybody. Your nominee could be a neighbour, teacher, scientist, activist, artist, innovator, policy maker, community or religious leader, or young person. In addition to nominating community members, we call on you to nominate the places, plants, and animals of Ottawa that you cherish and need our protection.
Nominations closed April 16 and we’ll announce the recipients the week of Earth Day. You are welcome to nominate for as many categories and nominees as you wish! Fill out a separate form for each nominee.
Thank you for helping us celebrate people, places, and non-human species who contribute to making Ottawa a greener, more resilient city!
